Good day Guys
Long time reader of the forum, but the first time that I am posting.
My name is Kotie Naude and I work in die mining industry on the outer limits of Rustenburg.
I have a 2011 Hilux D/C 4.0 V6 2x4, which I converted to a 4x4. The work was done by N1 4x4 and they used all genuine OEM parts. Very happy with the conversion and there is no difference to a factory fitted 4x4.
After the conversion, I just had to fit 30mm spacers in front to keep the nose from sagging. It is now running almost level.
Fuel consumption before the conversion was around 7.5-8 km/l depending on the right foot. Now it is running 7.0-7.5 km/l again, depending on the right foot. Granted I only do long distance travelling as I drive 110 km to work one way.
I have had no problem with the bakkie before or after the conversion and it is sitting on 158,000km.
I am really happy being part of the forum as there are may things one can learn from the forum members for both the DIY people and the two left thumb people like me.
Enjoy

Welcome aboard, Kotie!!
When your road comes to an end ...... you need a HILUX!.
Life is like a jar of Jalapeño peppers ... what you do today, might burn your ass tomorrow.
Don't take life too seriously ..... no-one gets out alive.
It's not about waiting for storms to pass. It's about learning to dance in the rain.
And be yourself ..... everyone else is taken!
