Rust de Winter Bundu Trail 26-28 September

Good day All,

We organising a event again. This will be the Bundu at Rust de Winter, the date for the event will be the Weekend of the 26-28 of September. This will be a self catering trail and the price will be R400 per vehicle.

Friday night we will meet up at the ATV klub's camping grounds and set up camp. Saturday morning we will strickly start with the route at 10am. Enroute up the mountain we will stop for lunch and have a nice Boerewors Roll. Then we go on again and face the mountain untill 6pm where we will set up camp on top of the mountain. Later the evening the ATV guys will make Pap en Sous and we will enjoy the rest of the evening.

Sunday after breakfast we will take the route down again and reach the ATV club's camping grounds +/- at 1pm.

I have booked the event and there will be only be place for 12 4x4's I will include the bank details where you can make payments into to book and reserve your spot for the Trail. Please note that the 1st 12 places that pay will go!

Louis, just to let you know, I am interested, just a few things to sort out first.
A mate may join as well, in a JEEP Sahara. As soona s I know whats going on, I will transfer the money.

Good Day All.

Update,

9 X 4x4's booked. Only 3 places left. Just to make it easier. The Friday night before the trail our guys do not pay a cent for the camping aswell as the the remainder of the Sunday. Only if you choose to come earlier i.e Thursday or later for the guys that do not want to work the Monday it will be R20 per person per day.

Just a few things for the guys that will go on the trip with us:

Here is a list of items you need to bring:
1. Eating Utensils,Cutlery
2. Own Drinks
3. Own Snacks
4. Meat for Saturday night's braai
5. Enough fuel & water(at least 40lt)Bring more if you could.
6. Recovery set
7. Camping Equipment(Rooftop tent, Dome tent,chairs, bedding)
8. One bag of Wood
9. Ensure you have sunblock, looks like it will be very warm.

TIP
1. Ensure you running boards on your 4x4 are removed, especially Excalliburs.

We meet Saturday morning about 9h15 am before the trail, we leave camp at 10am. See you guys there! :D

Lets not forget food for the most important meal of the day, breakfast :D

Louis, will we see you on Friday night or are you only coming through Saturday? We planning on leaving around lunchtime so will be there mid afternoon on friday.

Also, it might get cold on top of the mountain, so bring a jacket just in case.

You guys must enjoy. Louis take some of that 12 V blankys incase it is cold on top of the mountain, but I dont think it will be this time of year but who knows, you may just make a sale or two, Me an Herman Engel slept lekker with them (in separate tents :shock: ) last year in May whilst the other okes where all freezing

Well a lekekr weekend was had by all I reckon, most definately by me. :D

Will do write up and post some photies as soon as I can.
What I can tell you is that we all got through the Bundu without incident :D
