I have the 2,5 diesel Hilux.
Rather get the 3.0, for the following reasons:
- more oomph;
- BETTER fuel consumption than the 2,5

I had a 2.5 sc after 3 l dc . Lovely construction or slow speed bakkie. Passing vehicles is frustrated.

The 2.5d is bit rougher running ounding than the 3.0d and a bit more economy and 3 power outputs depending on year
102 bhp, (mk5 and early mk 6) 120 bhp mk6 with bonnet intercooler scoop and newest 144 bhp, mk6/7 which also has the same maximum torque as the 3.0d but peakier.
