My boet has recently bought a 97 2.8D SFA Hilux which stood still for around 3.5 years and are in need of some TLC.
We are now looking to systematically get it up and running again (going to be a slow process since time is "few"). In trying to get it started we need to get the aftermarket immobilizer to get with the program which it currently refuses. I have a few pics of the culprit and would like to know if anyone is able and willing to identify the type/brand of unit so that we can maybe get it tested and repaired or a new one from the manufacturer. Failing which we will have to dissect it out of the equation.
It looks like a RFID Tag type immobilizer. There is no identifiable branding on the unit.
Thanks guys.
Here are the pics:

Don't know it, but if it's giving hassles it's probably best to replace altogether. Usually they are not worth repairing as replacement units are not that expensive.
When your road comes to an end ...... you need a HILUX!.

Re: Help identifying immobilizer
Ek glo no 1 & 2 en 3 & 4 werk saam, m.a.w. 1 is common en 2 n/o of n/c kontak.

Thanks Andy, probably the route that we will go in the end (or an alarm/immobilizer combo) if we can not get this type. I just thought that we might be lucky to get it ID'ed and a plug-in replacement without having to doddle with the wiring. :roll:Mud Dog wrote:Don't know it, but if it's giving hassles it's probably best to replace altogether.
