Vigo Front Suspension upgrade
Ok, I know this has been debated before but let's go again!
I want to install a bumper replacement bar, at this stage most likely a Kilber, on my Vigo. To counter the extra weight, and the hanging nose, I want to go for either OME or Ironman front coils and shocks. There is a price difference of abour R4000 between the two on the quotes I received. I do not intend doing the back suspension. Has anyone done similar and what is your opinion?
The cheaper option is a spacer in front, which I had in my previous Vigo, but without the replacement bar. I'm concerned that the operation of the coils would be hampered with a spacer to make up for the sag caused by the replacement bar.
So my main concerns are handling and comfort - is OME worth the difference in my situation?

Consider Mikem, have heard no bad reports, and I have bumper replacement with Mikem coils in front.

I have a very good ride on the Mikem coils, havent got his shocks though. I have Maxtrac Nitro remotes that I fitted earlier but his coils and springs made a big difference to the ride quality after fitting.
Best to speak to him, he will give the best advice and not rip you. That i can guarantee.

Re: Vigo Front Suspension upgrade
okay, laat ek dan nou anders wees ....
Het 3 jaar terug Ironman opgesit. Johan Tires, 1st Allignment Centre, doen PUIK werk. :)
My Hilux dra amper 700 kg wanneer ons toer - en met die gewig doen ons dan ook so nou en dan n trail.
die suspensie hanteer dit GOED. :)

Ek was by Johan, goeie prys gekry op Ironman (dit is baie dieselfde as Mikem). Het jy volle suspensie gedoen of net voor? En as jy nie vol gelaai is nien ry dit baie harder as die standaard coils?

Re: Vigo Front Suspension upgrade
Apparantly I can replace just the front coils with Mikem, and for now still use the current shocks - anybody done something similar?
Hopefully my new replacement bumper will arrive by the end of the week so I need some help deciding which way to go with the front suspension.
From what I understand is that, when not fitted, the Mikem coils are the same length as the standard Toyota coils, just stiffer resulting in the lift of the nose. Is this the same with Ironman an OME?
