Crazy Collections.

Post by Thunder02 »

Ok,i will start,I've been collecting comics from about the age of 13,got over 4500 in my collection thus far, oldest one dating back to 1958 (Marges' Lulu and Tubby Halloween Fun No 2),got plenty from the 60's and 70's when comics were at there prime, sadly the interweb is killing the art and form of comics.Prices have gone through the roof, with the average mint comic now in the range of R150-00

So what other crazy collections do we have wandering amongst or members :?:

I used to buy comics for 5c (6d). I had about 200 good-as-new-viewed-once-only that I gave away some years ago. How I wished I had kept them!

I collect rare indigenous plants, cycads, aloes etc...some cycads can go for up to R2500/cm (that is for the size of the stem), so you can buy a two leaf plant in a 5l bag for around R5000...but hell, not me! I have some in the R250/cm range..

My collection is a sort of self-collecting thing : old tyres. Seems that I can't throw away the old ones, maybe I'll need one someday...............never happened.

This is one of the things I collect. It is radio active uranium and vaseline glass some of this glass is over 120years old. I am a collectibles dealer so I am always looking to buy and sell anything interesting. I am always on the lookout for hallmarked silver! If you think you might have something you would like me to make you and offer on drop me a PM.
