Lost?
I have been reading some of the trip reports on your forum and enjoyed them tremendously - hence my decision to join. I do not drive a Hilux but hope a LC Troopy will be accepted? My Troopy is almost a vintage model but is still in good running condition and the family and I have done a few trips with it (Wildcoast, Lesotho, Kubu Island, Moremi and Mabuasehube). I have not been a very active social network / forum / online participant and used the net mostly to do research for trips. This will be my first attempt at participating.
Thanks

Re: Lost?
Welcome aboard Jaco ..... Troopie and all!
When your road comes to an end ...... you need a HILUX!.
Life is like a jar of Jalapeño peppers ... what you do today, might burn your ass tomorrow.
Don't take life too seriously ..... no-one gets out alive.
It's not about waiting for storms to pass. It's about learning to dance in the rain.
And be yourself ..... everyone else is taken!

Re: Lost?
Thanks for all the kind words - I already feel welcome. As I have said in my introduction I have not ever been a active member of any social media or forum and although I can help myself on my laptop I feel a bit intimidated by the challenge to post pictures of my LC. Where do I post pictures with a short story of my LC's history? Do I just add it to this topic? Or rather - I first need to know how to add photos?

Re: Lost?
No need to feel lost or intimidated .... we all had to start somewhere.
In an effort to contain bulk and on-line storage, all images need to be re-sized to max. width 800 pixels and max. height 600 pixels. Max. file size is 200mb.
But have a read here first.
You could post your pics right here, but the better place would be in the forum / thread allocated for this purpose .... that would be here or here
Holler for help if you come unstuck.

How do you create a link? ... will have to figure that one out ... just like I found out how to post pics... Give me some time - too much for one day!

Re: Lost?
If you type the link with http:// in front the forum software will automatically create a link
Like http://www.4x4direct.co.za" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Or you can type the link and then select the link and click the URL button above (in the same row as B i u Quote List=
You normally use this if it is a very long link and you want to make sure everything is included in the URL .
Or if you want to link a word to a certain link, you select the word and then click the URL button
It will then look like
[/b]
Then between the first [url code and the sqr bracket you add = and then add the link
Like:
[/b]
In example above you linked the words "the word" to the url http://www.4x4direct.co.za" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and looks like this
The word
In you case your can do this
which will give you
Land Cruiser
Note that if you refer to a URL on the forum the software will automatically cretae the link and it will automatically parse the link, thus it will exclude the http://www.hilux4x4.co.za/views" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
