Hi guys ive got a 1989 toyota hilux sfa
Im looking to change the front pumpkin to one that has diff lock.Will this be a beter option for me if anyone would know what the pros and cons is please let me know ?
What would i get for my old one ?

It depends what difflock you are looking to get ,there are many different variants for the SFA.

I think your options are limited to ARB airlockers that are quite expensive, or some of the autolocking options from Australia, like the LOKKA

I think you wanted to mentioned it is a 4.875 gear ratio.The best locker locker in my opinion would be a selectable locker meaning you can switch it on and off as you please.I currently have a electric locker in the front of the sfa, and that is of a d4d rear center portion with a gear ratio change. My experience with 35 inch tires it gets difficult to turn with the locker engaged in the front,that is why I went with the selectable locker.
The Auto lokka aswell is very good and isnt badly priced.
