Spot light recommendation
Good day all,
Can anyone suggest good reliable spot lights that won’t break the bank?
There are so many choices between HID, LED and incandescent.
Plus the price ranges for R800-R5000
I’d appreciate the help.

I test many lights and these remain my favorite:

Have them on my Hilux as well.

I have a set of those on my Rav4 (also from Pieter) and they work just great. Actually quite awesome considering that they're just 25W each. The build quality is outstanding, very good value for your buck.

Re: Spot light recommendation
I agree with what is being said here!! I have a set on my Prado and they really offer the best bang for the buck.
The great thing is they can be either wide lens lights, illuminating the sides of the road and give a nice even spread of light, or they can be more long distance pencil beam type of lights.
Mine is always the wide light as I want to see stray animals on the side of the road, which has saved my bacon a few times. I do not need longer reach lights with the Prado as they do come with excellent factory headlights.

Re: Spot light recommendation
I have sold many of these 25W LED "Canon" Spots working for 4x4 companies, and this is what I am going to put on my Hilux when its finished. I had IPF Rally Spots, but the 130W Halogen does not compare with the current LED technology.

Re: Spot light recommendation
I'm very happy with my Hella spots, I bought the 4" and with hindsight I should have gotten the 5", but they throw a decent beam, not too expensive and seem to withstand stone chips
