Good day all,
I am not new to this forum but have been away long enough that an introduction is required
I have a 2001 Hilux 2700i DC 4x4 that has seen its fair share of adventures. Since my last post (a year, maybe 2 ago), a few changes have been made and adventures completed, including a 6720km trip around SA Unfortunately we hit financial issues and the condition of the Lux deteriorated but am in the process of getting it back as it should be.
Sadly, my best friend, mentor and partner in crime - Gavin (my dad) - recently passed away. He was a firm supporter of the Hilux4x4 forum and community and always enjoyed participating in events.
Looking forward to the adventures ahead, to meeting new people and helping out where I can Keep it shiny side up!

Re: Introduction Revisited
Our condolences on the loss of your dad. It's of course a hardship that we must all endure, but I believe that they ascend to a higher plane from where they can watch over us. So think of it like he is still there. not gone, close by, even though you can't see him. Make him proud.
Good to have you back in our midst.

When your road comes to an end ...... you need a HILUX!.
Life is like a jar of Jalapeño peppers ... what you do today, might burn your ass tomorrow.
Don't take life too seriously ..... no-one gets out alive.
It's not about waiting for storms to pass. It's about learning to dance in the rain.
And be yourself ..... everyone else is taken!
