Hi Guys
I have to remove my alternator to replace the regulator. I am struggling to get the main wire off the back of the alternator. I takes a no10 spanner but cant seem to get it off. The wire just rotated around as I loosen the nut and I don't want to break the wire.
Any advice?
I am not sure if it is 2 nuts with a lug in between/

Re: SFA alternator
Can't you remove the cable at the battery side? Otherwise just cut the cable at the alternator and re-crimp with a new lug; then you also know the connection is good again.

Re: SFA alternator
All sorted in the end.
Changed the regulator and belts for good measure, but turned out to be a bad connection somewhere just off the alternator.
