Diesel Injector Cleaner

Hi all - has anybody tried this product. http://www.midas.co.za/pebble.asp?relid=412
My bakkie is smoking a fair bit and just to try and clean the injectors I came across this - does it work? Not keen to just pour anything into my Hilux, and read some articles there are a lot of "DIY" cleaning methods out there that actually does nothing. Best is still a manual check if injectors are blocked / dirty.

Jacques, I don't know the product nor the cost of it. But I believe the average price of snake oil is round about R200. That R200 is roughly 10% of the cost of having all 4 injector tips replaced and having the injectors re-conned to as new condition. The 3L Diesel is a simple reliable motor with old school injectors that don't cost a arm and a leg.

I replaced my KZ injector tips a few months back for R2k. gained some fuel economy and power. the 5L injectors should be similar in price to do.

Thank you Johan - they quoted me R60 for 500ml - so not very expensive. I'll see if there are any other guys replying but probably best to just get them tested and replaced if needed.

Toyota het hul eie injector cleaner. R288.06 inc vat. Dit is duur maar glo vir my dit is elke sent werd.

Thanks Omo - ek lees ook op die web 2 stroke olie en Lubro Moly lyk na goeie opsies, maar sal die Toyota een prober. Kan ek sommer by die handelaar koop - is daar n spesifieke naam.
As jy se dit is die moeite werd het jy dit al gebruik?

Part nommer: 08813 80019 ons kry baie taxi en plaas bakkies wat se injectors op is dan gooi hul so n bottle op n 1/4 tot leeg tank in en jy sal nooit kan glo watse verskil dit maak nie.

Yes it works on the Vigo engines also
