4Y 2,2l Masjien

Hallo daar

As iemand my kan help sal ek dit baie waardeer. Ek het 'n 4x4 DC 2.2l Hilux, 1989 model. Die bakkie het geen probleme, behalwe die masjien wat van tyd tot tyd "backfire". Dit gebeur nie aanmekaar nie, soms ry ek 100 of meer km's sonder probleme. Dit gebeur as ek stadig ry soos in 'n dorp, of by bv. 'n verkeerlig wag. Die masjien begin skielik deurmekaar loop en verloor krag. Ek trap dan die petrolpedaal 'n paar keer, die masjien "backfire 1 of 2 keer, en is dan reg. Op n' spoed van 100/110 km/h sal die masjien vinnig mis en weer aangaan sonde om krag te verloor. Ek het al 'n nuwe "coil", en "plugdrade" ingesit, asook die tyd laat stel. Al wat ek nog nie laat kyk het nie is die vergasser, punte en "condenser". Help asb. ek is al bang om in die stad te ry of verby te steek.

Dit kan wees dat daar speling op jou distributor shaft is.Ek stel voor jy vervang jou distributor met n oorspronklike elektroniese een.

Stem saam, dan het jy nie meer points & condenser wat moonlik probleme kan gee nie.

Thanks, sal so maak. Julle is heeltemal reg. Toe ek die tyd laat stel het moes hulle die distributor met 'n hammer tik om dit te laat draai so vas het dit gesit, en ek het nooit daaraan gedink dat dit kon buig nie. Is daar 'n spesifieke maak wat ek na moet kyk? Nogmaals baie dankie, ek wil 'n slag langpad vat en die ding pla. Ek het die bakkie nou maar 7 maande.

Dit moet n Asian of Nippon Denso wees .Dit is die maak waarmee die 4y motors oorspronklik mee uitgekom het.Bly ver weg van pirate parts.Gaan soek by scrapyards.

Ek het al gesien wat pirate parts doen, jy het meer skade en onkoste agterna. Ek het die distributor cap afgehaal en die plaat gevoel waarop die punte le, dit was baie stram om te beweeg. Ek het toe 'n klein bietjie olie reg rondom die plaat teen die rand (binne) van die distributor gespuit, dit 'n paar keer teen die vere gedraai en die cap teruggesit. Nou al 50km gery met geen probleme. Ek wonder of die vorige eienaar nie die enjin met 'n hoedrukspuit skoongemaak het, en toe water daar laat inkom het nie. Die carb is ook Nippon Denso. Vervang 'n mens die hele distributor met shaft en al, of net die punte gedeelte?

Jy vervang die hele distributor.Hy lyk heeltemal anders as die standard een met punte.Wat so lekker is van die elektroniese distributor is as sy tyd in gestel is bly dit ingestel en jy het nie nodig meer om punte en condensor te vervang nie.

Baie dankie. Ek sal die scrapyards gaan opsoek. Probleem is net, ek bly 2 uur se ry van Kaapstad, anders moet ek by Toyota op die dorp 'n draai gaan maak. Wat kos so 'n ding? My bakkie is ook 'n 1989 DC soos joune, so dit sal dieselfde distributor wees.

Die distributor is nie so maklik om te kry nie, dis nou regte Toy parte. Julle is reg, ek het by ons plaaslike Toyota mense 'n draai gaan maak, net R5800 vir 'n distributor. Sal nie se wat ek gedink het nie. Ek het die fout gaan soek, dit was die no 4 plugdraad op die distributor, die plek waar dit indruk was al vol merke binne in gebrand. Het 'n nuwe distributor opgesit, en geen probleme verder nie. My petrolverbruik is ook heelwat beter, kry al oor die 8km/l teen 110/120 km/h. Nogmaals baie dankie vir die hulp.

back in the day when i had my 2.2 running on LPG gas it also developed a backfire after I fitted the LPG. Trust me that scary thought when you running LPG... infact it was more of a front fire as it blew out the air filter.

took it back to the guys who fitted the LPG... machie shop directly opposite the entrance to Stikland police clearance.. can't recall their name now... anyhow... they also said it was faulty dizzy... after they fixed that, no more front fire
