Nice turnout and club spirit!
When your road comes to an end ...... you need a HILUX!.
Life is like a jar of Jalapeño peppers ... what you do today, might burn your ass tomorrow.
Don't take life too seriously ..... no-one gets out alive.
It's not about waiting for storms to pass. It's about learning to dance in the rain.
And be yourself ..... everyone else is taken!

Re: 6 Sept 2014 - Spring Day @ de Wildt 4x4
good afternoon
after this weekends event , i have asked the other clubs / individuals that attended the event to forward me a mail on their views etc
so here are some of the replies,
McCarthy 4x4 club ( 6 vehicles attended )
Hi Shaun
Thank you very much for the invite and the day, we really enjoyed the outing.
What really impressed was that not only us felt for the need to socialize between clubs, there seems to be a tendency at other clubs for the same outcome.
With this said we would like to extend the same invite to the Hilux Club to visit the McCarthy 4x4 club later the year provided your program are not to full.
We already had a (Socializing Inter Club) event and I am going to put another day on the table at our next committee meeting.
Will keep you informed.
Regards

Good Morning Shaun.
I really would like to say, I think it was a very nice event, well organized and fun.
I myself really enjoyed this as well as my family.
I think this is really one nice family event, and there is a future for such social events in future.
I must say I think it’s was very well organised, and run, I would do it again.
I would maybe encourage a female driver empowerment to take part.
I’m going to run a similar event at our facility very soon, limited to 60 vehicles, as we have opened two new routes on the facility, I want to encourage for women to take part, there will be something for the kiddies to keep busy while we also braai, a jumping Castle or water slide, just for the kiddies to keep busy and encourage the family to become part of this,

other to follow once i receive them
thanks to the club and forum members that attended
and a huge thanks to the gauteng ec's and all the sponsors

Re: 6 Sept 2014 - Spring Day @ de Wildt 4x4
This was my first organized outing with the club and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
- It was very well organized and controlled - Well done Organizers and EC's on a great job
- The prizes, give away's were awesome - Thank you to the sponsors, everyone walked away with a little give away too.
- Photographers - some awesome pics so far and looking forward to the others.
- Last but not least - thank you to all the members, families, guests for making the day great. Everybody was friendly and cheerful and the more experienced/knowledgeable 4x4ers were always on hand to give good advice.
SO - WHEN'S THE NEXT ONE???????

Re: 6 Sept 2014 - Spring Day @ de Wildt 4x4
as stated previously , i have asked all the guest from other clubs that joined us on the day to forward a report on there findings of the day out with us .
the reply below is from Wimpie (the wimpinator) from lichtenburg 4x4 club
Hopenlik maak ons weer so.
So bietjie terug voer.
1) Ek dink die relings was goed gewees.
Mense is snaakse goed.
so begin hy sy 4x4 vertroue opbou.
Groete

if you want to change this to recovered , first recover me - and have a relevant picture / foto to prove it !
And be yourself ..... everyone else is taken!

reply received from opposite lock 's jaco that attended the day
Hi Shaun and fransisco,
Thank you for the invite to last weekend’s spring day.
We found the Hilux club to be inviting to “outsiders” and well organised.
The driver briefing, separation of groups (to avoid queuing), indemnity forms all forms part of an organized club – so well done.
The only negative comment we have; is that we saw one of the club members drop a cigarette bud and not picking it up… but it is impossible to police everyone.
Maybe also good to ask who is experienced and who not; so that you can have them under a leader’s wing to assist.
I believe this will minimise chances of damaging the vehicles if beginners.
Please let us know of upcoming events.
All and all – we had fun.
