Hi Guys
Recently shopped for new tyres, 245/75/15.
On average I was quoted between R1450 to R2100 per tyre. I then found the Dunlop Trackgrip A/T at Rivonia Tyres for R1150 inc VAT each.
I have put them on and so far I am happy. Very little road noise, they seem to look "rugged". The dealer told me that they are good tyres and I will get close to 100 000 km's with them.
Anyone has experience with these Dunlops?

Re: Dunlop A/T Tyres Opinion
Asking for an unbiased opinion on makes of tyres is like asking a ‘Blou Bul’ supporter what he thinks the ‘Western Cape’ team. A Bridgestone man will slate any other make as vastly inferior but may have more lenient comments on Michelin.
The bottom line is whether what you will consider replacing them with the same when your current tyres have done their term of duty. If you think they are OK for the price you paid, then they are good tyres and to H-** with what anybody else says!

Not looking for an unbiased opinion.
Looking for an opinion from previous experience with the Dunlop SP Trackgrip.

Re: Dunlop A/T Tyres Opinion
Tyre life depends on a number of factors:
- tyre inflation (pressure)
- speed you drive at
- rapid acceleration and fast braking
- road surface
- load carried
- tyre tread and compound
- regular wheel rotation
So while one guy gets 100,000 the next fellow, with identical tyres, only gets 70,000km.
The same factors effect fuel consumption
