Re: SRX
I confess
My 1999 SRX has 515 000 km's on the clock, and has just gone in to be "revamped"
I am being treated to a full spec SAC conversion.
Gas flowed head, bigger stainless steel valves, new cam, wildcat exhaustand new airbox.
I cannie wait!!

Re: SRX
Don't want to hijack the thread, but what is the difference between SRX and the Raider?

If you're referring to IFS, then...Jaco Versfeld wrote:Don't want to hijack the thread, but what is the difference between SRX and the Raider?
Raider has ABS, SRX not.
Raider has imported rear diff with electric D/L, SRX has Gearmax with Vacuum-operated D?L
Raider has those blister thingies over the wheel arches, SRX not
Raider has ... ? I thought electric windows and SRX not, but Hound Dog, a Raider, also does not have these.
Can't remember what else although I am sure there are still minor differences. I think the striping on the side is different too.

Re: SRX
My Registration papers say its a SRX, but I have electric windows, leather seats, and if I am not mistaken all the SRX's are 4x4
I may sit corrected

Re: SRX
Family_Dog wrote:If you're referring to IFS, then...Jaco Versfeld wrote:Don't want to hijack the thread, but what is the difference between SRX and the Raider?

and moving on to the Vigo the differences are even less. :)Family_Dog wrote:If you're referring to IFS, then...Jaco Versfeld wrote:Don't want to hijack the thread, but what is the difference between SRX and the Raider?

mostly cosmetic
ABS, airbags, central locking, electric windows are all standard on the SRX. No controls on the steering wheel, and only with the 2,5 D-4D motor though. If they launched a 3,0 SRX I would buy one ....

Re: SRX
Ah yes, I don't think the IFS SRX is fitted with airbags, while the Raider DC is. I don't think Hound Dog has them though - and yet he is also a Raider. White Fang has them fitted as standard.

Re: SRX
Eric,
There was some difference between s/cab and d/cab specs.

Re: SRX
It would seem so. The S/C is more like a SRX with wheel arches. All the other Raider bits & pieces were available as options, apart from using the same imported rear diff & diff-lock.

Re: SRX
2010 2,5 D-4D SRX Single Cab
Air bags
ABS
electric windows
Central locking
only thing it does not have is controls on the steering wheel, and no speed control (fitted this after market) The rest of the differences are purely cosmetic.
