Fortuner sounds like a Isuzu in mornings....

Post by Mr H »

Fortuner sounds like a Isuzu in mornings, with 130.000km on the clock, it goes away after 10sec's
What can be the problem.
Still under warranty at the dealers? Could it be lifters or injectors.

They are a bit noisy when start up, but if it goes away it should not be an issue.

Shouldn't be a problem ....probably just the lifters being a bit 'dry' after standing a while. ;-)
When your road comes to an end ...... you need a HILUX!.

Normal for diesel and as said if it goes away then no hassles.

Hulle se mos; "Hoe weet jy as n Hilux se enjin heeltemal in sy M..R is? Hy klink soos n splinternuwe Isuzu"

Hi all
Toyota found 2 injectors sporadically causing faulty readings so the dealer will replace all four. Very happy!!!!
So now you guys know that that noise is not normal. My previous hilux had 235.000km and never sounded like that??
Thx for the input all

Had the same on my 2010 Fortuner. As normal told Toyota to check it at service and was found that injectors were the issue. Replaced under warranty. +-70k km on clock.

Dankie Mr H, jy bly net om die hoek van my en kon nie die geraas gehoor het nie  Ek was altyd vertel dis maar hoe hulle maak, moet sê die fortuner het nie so harde gekletter soos my hilux op 120000km gehad het nie. Sal bietjie met Pieter gesels. Ek aanvaar jy was by Toyota Gezina?
