Re: Solar Panels
I would say around a minimum of a 90w panel per battery but that will depend on how you manage the batteries and the panel. In addition what you will run off the batteries .....

Re: Solar Panels
The guy at bushpower really helped me.. It depends I think on what you are running off your batteries, I have a 90l National Luna fridge/freezer in my trailer and 2x105amp deep cycles and 110w solar panel..

Re: Solar Panels
Depending what runs form the battery, a 40l fridge (1.5 A/h ave use) would be happy with a 1 x 80watt panel. Larger fridge (2 A/h) , you need 110 Watt or 2 fridges (3A/h) you need 160 watt according my calculations based on the fridges and panel I use, and some theory that I picked up the years :) .
Form Bushpower's website, it seems they know their trade.

Re: Solar Panels
I run a Waeco 50 off a 102a deep cycle with a 90 W panel and a 90 l National luna on a 105a deep cycle on a 80 w panel and so far no problems.
Keep in mind the Waeco is not as power efficient as the luna. I am sure that 80 w will do the job. The problem comes in that when the batteries are at 50% your panel need to put in a bit more than what the fridge is using.

Re: Solar Panels
I Agree Niel, while charging the batteries you also need to run the fridges, i did ask the guys from current Automation and a company in Boksburg clled Duratech. Lets see what they come up with.
