I could not put a pic of mu Lux up yet but thought i would show the other engines i get to work with when i am at work. I tried to give an idea of the sise of the engine but it was a bit hard to put in perspective.

Ship's engines are an amazing feat of engineering. The sheer scale of the units together with the tolerances achieved blows me away. Seen a couple, even open ones with pistons that must be about a metre across. :eh:

What's the max RPM of that unit?
Got a pic of the 'starter motor' ? .... Probably a monster 16 cylinder Cat or Volvo-Penta! :D:
When your road comes to an end ...... you need a HILUX!.

The rpm on this one is 114 rpm full away. The piston on this specific engine is 60cm in across and she has nine of them driving a shaft almost 1.5 m across.

A slight suspension upgrade might be necessary to make that fit in a SFA Hilux....
