Can someone please advise me?

Can someone please advise me? Is it ok to drive my SFA a short distance on tar, with the Hub locks on in two wheel drive to a sand road, before engaging in 4 wheel drive?

Hi Roger it's good practise, to do often, to lubricate the front axle seals etc.
Your bakkie looks good.

Another way of churning up the diff oil / lubricating seals is to occasionally engage H4 between stop streets (as long as the hubs are free). It achieves the same thing.
When your road comes to an end ...... you need a HILUX!.

I agree, also use the H4 method, as getting out to lock the hubs is more work. I have had seal problems if this is not done enough, and you guys know its a big job to change the hub and side shaft seals.

As soon as my ship comes in, I will employ someone that always drives with me, to lock the hubs. :yahoo: :yahoo:
