Superstitious.....Are You?

How many of you are superstitious.....or a bit?

Me: I never set the volume button on my van's radio on an odd number.....always ie 10, 12, 20 except 33. Don't know why? :lol: :lol: :lol:

I am aware of the superstitions like when a black cat crosses my path I think about it but don't act on it.

Glad nie bygelowig nie. My pa se motor se registrasienommer was CK 13 en het al die kere wat ek hom sonder toestemming GELEEN het, nooit n probleem gehad nie. :angel: :angel:

Funny... I don't look at the volume level when adjusting it... just stop when it's loud enough :twisted:

I also do not set it to an odd number, and neither did my friend Brian- don't think it's a superstition, just a habit. :cooldude:

I also never enter a tee-box on a golf course from the front, always walk around- also habit, never makes any difference to my tee shot... :mocking:

Nee wat superstition is all in the mind... Ek bly in Nr 13 en ons is baie gelukkig. My vorige huis was ook Nr 13 gewees. Die eindomsagent het nogals gefrons oor ons uit een Nr13 uit in 'n ander Nr13 intrek... :twisted: :twisted: :twisted: Verder stap ek graag onder lere deur, en swart katte is net katte... en ek is 'n hond mens.. :tease: :tease:

My MIL en FIL het die gewoonte om 'n besem in die boom op te hand en mes in die grond te steek as die weer opsteek en hulle is besig om te braai

jare terug het jy in JHB brandweer ook nie no 13 gehad nie. Die woonstelle was no 12, 12a, 14.

Die selfde het gegeld vir die stasies.

This and many of the others mentioned are really OCD. Me? I've never been superstitious in the slightest. We have for decades lived in an age of reason ... teach me of a danger or explain one and I'll avoid it, or of course if common sense indicates it.

However, many of these old taboos are passed down to us. One of the things that used to amuse me in the hotel industry, take note next time you're in an Hotel, especially the older ones .... no number 13's anywhere ..... just to appease those with superstitions. :D:

Thats the funniest thing, my Girlfriend does exactly the same thing, I will change the volume, on the car radio, tv, or dvd player and she will grab the remote and make sure it stops on an even number :laugh2: :blink:
