Lesotho snow weekend
Plan is as following (plan may change). We are waiting for confirmation that there is snow on the Drakensberg and the Maluti's (eyewitness reports :Geek: ).
Drive down to Himeville on Friday (will be confirmed). Leave Himeville at 06h00-07h00 on Saturday morning, , enter Lesotho via Sani Pass , go via Sani Top (2,873m), Black Mountain, Thabana Ntlenyana (3,482m) and Mokhotlong (if weather permits we can see Mafadi - 3,450m highest point in South Africa almost due east).
From Mokhotlong the plan is to drive on the A1 to Butha-Buthe, and exit at either Caledonspoort or Ficksburg.
Proceed then to either Clarens or Bethlehem and sleep over in the Southern Free State on Saturday night. On Sunday morning we will meet again in Bethlehem a place like Wimpy and from there the Hilux convoy will drive back home.
As you see there is no date connected to this one, it is purely a do it as it happens adventure. So my advice is pack the necessary containers now and keep them ready.

Ek gaan probeer om daar te wees.JohanM wrote:Heinrich,
Gaan ons jou by die Thabazimbi naweek sien???
Hierdie komende naweek skiet ek bietjie geweer in, want ek jag oor twee weke en ek het besluit ek moet my geweer se teleskoop skuif.... (stupid idee gewees).

Re: Lesotho snow weekend
I was seriously looking forward to this, BUT, I will not have them finances available after this lekker fix of injectors and dieselpump.
I've proposed that we schedule a trip to Katse the weekend of 24 September (which is long weekend).

Re: Lesotho snow weekend
