Bakgat!!!
When your road comes to an end ...... you need a HILUX!.
Life is like a jar of Jalapeño peppers ... what you do today, might burn your ass tomorrow.
Don't take life too seriously ..... no-one gets out alive.
It's not about waiting for storms to pass. It's about learning to dance in the rain.

Chevota just does'nt sound right, like it's a chev with a Toy motor. And Toylette definitely does'nt work for me either , but Toyrolette might be worth considering.

I know MrTurbo had an EFi conversion kit for the Chev 350 V8... you had to hand in your std intake manifold... swap it for the EFi intake... I just can't find any info on it on there website anymore... it used to be there... somewhere!

Re: 1989 SFA d/c "CHEVOTA"
That motor is actually a Chev 350 LS1 V8 with EFI intake manifold and is used in the Holden Commadore in Aussie. Fantastic for the uphills and the downhills, as the Holley carbs die from fuel starvation at extreme angles. Great stuff!!

Re: 1989 SFA d/c "CHEVOTA"
why is it that Toyota snoop us in SA on nice Hilux bakkies with lekker V8's and L6's with SFA's, the proper stuff . I mean they build Toyota's in SA why can't they go for the real mc-coy for us southern boys down under in Africa. Look at the yank's they have all the nice stuff and we as South Africans need not stand back. We have everything to do the same and better, if Toyota get with boys like us on the forum and have some proper input they can build a bakkie that would be unique for the African environment and they will make a killing on sales, LR will have to stop production because of their overstock

Soos ek voorheen gese het,die vorige eienaars het hom bietjie laat verwaardeloos. Het bietjie body werk nodig en 'n afspraak opo 'n dyno. maar al die regte goed is gedoen.

Ek het so pas vanoggend CHEVOTA ge-"dename". Die naam op die agterklap afgehaal, en hy is nou die bakkie sonder 'n naam.

"Bakkie sonder naam" ... a good name in itself .... or how about "Bakkie sonder grense" ..... also appropriate!
When your road comes to an end ...... you need a HILUX!.
