OT: What to replace with 195k km service on Opel Utility
Hi There,
Sorry, this is off topic, but I can't find another forum with the correct info.
What do I need to replace on the 195k km service of an Opel Corsa Utility 1.6i?
I assume the standard items:
Oil
Plugs
Oil filter
Petrol filter??
I don't think I can can set the timing as the bakkie has coil packs.
Thanks,
Jaco

Re: OT: What to replace with 195k km service on Opel Utility
Jaco,
Let me explain it this way to you.
All the petrol corsa vehicle's had the same service schedule.
Every 15000 km's you change only the oil and filter. Check the rest and top up where nessacary.
Every 30000 km's you change all the filters. Replace spark plugs, replace brake fluid, flush system and bleed brakes. Also every 2 years or 60000 km's you must replace the anti freeze.
Every 75000 km's or 5 years you have to replace the cambelt & tensioner ( the tensioner looses tension after this km's which leads to broken rockers and bent valves if not replaced with the cambelt).
The vehicle cannot be "tuned" unless you have access to the GM Tech 2 Machine which is their diagnostics machine.
Anything else, you are welcome to ask. .................
Ps... I have fixed these vehicle's for almost 4 year before giving up....

Thanks for the replies.
Johan, the head gasket blew at around 165k km. GM replaced the timing belt then (or so they said). So I don't have to replace it (timing chain) until 240k km ...
Thanks a lot

You might as well change the cambelt and tensioner as it is not so difficult to change and not that expensive go to you neareat goldwagen - its is about R200 bucks for a belt and a tensioner after all it has been at the stealers and with gm you never know
good luck
good luck

Hi Jaco,

Volgens my vrou moet ons nou alles vervang :) . Hy het so 'n bietjie deurgestamp.

GM gebruik Castol Techtion of GTX2.

Sal nie Sintetiese olie in so ou motor sit nie. Gewone shell helix.
