Re: Front wheels touching
One option is just to add another blade per leafspring pack in the front. If you do not have aftermarket suspension like OME, Procomp enc. it should not be too much. Just remember, if you add a winch, you add extra weight to the front, the normal suspension in front do have to cope with it, especial...

Hallo Tristan,
You can fit the rear shocks of a Landcruiser 75 or 79 series, they have the same shock mountings as the Hilux SFA, just longer. Brand is your choice as I see you want to save money.

Louis

Hi Hanno, Yes you can fit just the replacement coil, but with some disadvantages: 1. The std. shock can bottom out if it articulate(if you go trought axle twisters, 1 wheel into the arch and the other extended all the way down) too much and break the shock. Remember ussually replacement coils lift t...

Hi There,
My EFI conversion is now just in a Month, in urban driving it gives me 8.4km per litre, previous about 4,5km per litre with the overhauled carb.Still have to go on the long road to give you an answer what I get then.
Regards,
Louis

Re: Question: Suspension upgrade with ARB??
Good Day Hanno, The Arb Replacement bumper weight's is about +/-45kg, if you fitted a winch aswell it is another 35kg-45kg with the weight of the bumper. You could say +/- 80kg right in front of the front wheels, this means it will push your nose down immeadatly after the fitment(bumper & winch)...

Hi Eric, Sorry to hear of your Big Problem. New Oil was replaced with the fitment of the locker. The Backlash on your diff should be between 0.15-0.25mm as per ARB spec.(Yours should be 0.17mm)We always go smaller when we fit new carrier bearings because the bearings wear in and this cause the backl...

Hi Manie, Question, why higher? Just remember height is only reached by making your distance greater from your lowest part of your bakkie(front and back diff) to the ground, that means higher profile tyres. The rest just make your bakkie higher on the the space between your wheel arches and wheels. ...
