It's possible the firing module(usually a TP100) is fried, or not earthing properly again the body. That black wire that's been cut is definitely very important. It's the "proper" earth for the firing module. Often a body earth is not good enough and makes the unit overheat and die in time. First try wiring it back up to the batt negative to make sure you have a proper earth.

Check the dizzy cap. Look inside, is the carbon contact still good/missing?

Check the rotor for burns on the tip and the centre. ----

My educated guess is then a burnt out TP100. Johan even if it turns out not to be the fault, it's a part thats really worth having in the spares box in our bakkie. Those firing modules are notorious for killing over when you least expect it. BTW, Dicktator make a pretty smart one...

Okey so i replaced the electronic ignition module with a new one and still no fire. Not even on the main coil wire that goes to the dizzy. Swoped the old one back to check and now it is dead also.

When i ground the new one i get a continious spark on the small negative terminal on the coil. Any sugestions?

Have you tried another distributor cap or rotor? Maybe try testing the rotor and cap points for continuity with a multi-meter. Maybe the circuit is burnt or cracked where you can't see it.

Meet jy 12 volt op die positief van die Coil? Miskien moet jy die Coil direk van die battery af krag gee om te toets.
