Central locking

Post by KZN KZTE »

Hi all,

Since this morning central locking works only on my driver door using either the remote or the button on the door console.
I have to now manually lock and unlock the other 3 doors.
Any idea where I can start looking for the fault on this?

2000 Hulix 2700i 4X2

Thanks a lot
Pierre

Can you still hear the dull 'click' of the servo from within the other doors when the driver's door is activated? If so then I think the servo's themselves have gone. If not then have a look at the control box (behind the passenger kick-panel on older models) and look for any loose / disconnected wiring. could even be the controller itself. A complete new system installed is probably only about 2K or thereabouts if memory serves me correctly.

Good luck.

Not talking OEM units here ... that'd be crazy. ;-)
