Re: Bump stop distance
A 2" lift is neither here nor there IRO the bump-stop .... wouldn't give it a second thought, but IRO a 4" lift I would check with the spring manufacturer / agent / supplier. Most of them will probably tell you that it's OK to stay with the originals, which gives you that extra bit of travel. OME don't recommend any interference with the bump-stop and I see that the Dobinson's kit I have also still uses the originals.
When your road comes to an end ...... you need a HILUX!.

Re: Bump stop distance
IMHO the bumpstop should be set so as to stop the spring from arching overly negatively. I suppose for maximum longevity the springs shouldn't bend into negative arch at all, but that'd be no fun!
Other than that, if you're not running into interference with engine sumps, steering arms or wheel arches I say run em

Re: Bump stop distance
Thanks
The gap at the moment is about 100 mm with the OME leafs ,so if i fit a 4 inch it should be about 150mm or must i fit extra block on the chassis to keep the gap the same
Vehicle is a 93 SFA Hilux

Re: Bump stop distance
You shouldn't need to make any differences as far as I can tell
