What Old Man Emu leafs springs fits into my hilux89'

Post by langandres33 »

Hi, I'm new to the forum and I'm seeing if anyone can help me.

I have a hilux 89' Japanese version, single cab and long punt. It has front and rear leaf springs.

The front leaf springs are already bad and I want to change them because the car is very very hard and jumps a lot!!!

I have seen many videos and I want to put the front suspension kit Old Man Emu. The question is, if anyone knows which model of leaves spring I have to buy that will fit well in the car.

(I've seen the website of Old Man Emu and ARB web site and find nothing)
http://www.arbusa.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
http://www.oldmanemu.com.au/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

thanks for the help!

Hi Andres, welcome to the forum! The front leaf springs will be OME CS008FA and CS008FB if you don't have a winch and bullbar on. If you do have a winch and bullbar you'll be using a CS009FA and CS009FB. Good luck and enjoy the forum!

Hi Andres,

welcome to the forum, plenty of good info and friends here....I also have a 89 d/cab hilux import, I have OME all round and TJM shocks, it will make the ride a bit softer but not that much, just the way it is with these trucks !!! If you gonna be carrying weight front and back then go for the heavy duty leafs, they will have 6 blades on the front and 7 blades on the rear, otherwise if not go with the standard ones, I would also upgrade your shocks as well whilst you are at it, match them up with a set of OME shocks and bobs ya uncle...hope you come right, dont forget to check out your u bolts and have a your saddles corrected if they are slightly out of shape,

Also look at the Iron man suspension, Mikem, very good set ups and come in a bit cheaper if I am not mistaken,

cheers
