CHECK THE MOON TONIGHT !

i know nothing about stars and things, but do yourself a favour and go check the half moon with two stars adjacent to it !!

havent seen something like that !!

Just looked at it myself.

Venus on top and Jupiter at the bottom.

Jupiter being the biggest but appearing smaller because of the difference.
The moon is minute in comparison to them but it is the closest to us.

Checked it out earlier, .... a few more stars close to the moon and it would look like a kiddy book picture or a Xmas card pic. Quite cool.

I went to check on the back door that was banging a bit in the wind last night, and looked outside by chance and notice just the moon and two bright stars next to it, nothing else, just that in a clear patch in the clouds.... so those were in fact jupiter and venus.... beautiful sight to behold

Have you ever noticed when you move out of the city, the stars seems brighter.
Like when I'm laying on the beach at 3am in morning, the stars seem so much closer

I took this pick last night
this is with a Canon SLR with 300mm lens I think its time to get an 800mm

Tried the same with my 350D and a 300mm lens but I could not get the tripod's little attachment that screws in under the camera, so it was a little bit of a challenge to keep still so I only took blurs

Is dit nou daai 600mm lens wat op jou selfoon kamera pas

Nope.... actually 'n Canon met 'n 12x optical zoom gelykstaande aan 635mm.

Dit tel nie daai lense op 'n compact is nie solank en swaar nie

In teen deel, baie makliker om 'n langer voorwerp steady te hou as 'n korter voorwerp.

Doen jouself 'n guns, kry 'n bean bag, doen werk te nice met kameras met lekker laaaang lense

I can just make out the Moon thru' the clouds, but no stars are visible. Hope it's there tomorrow night again, I can't wait another couple of hundred years to see it again ;)
