1400 km Richtersveld tour - feedback
Thanks to my outdated T4A on my garmin I did and saw much more of the Richtersveld than I thought possible, if it wasn't for the route planner on my laptop, Garmins basecamp, and a bit of luck and of course the Toyota direction markers on most of the dirt roads I might have gotten lost in those wide expanses. Not that i'm moaning, it was a great memorable experience.
In the next few days I will post a few pictures and comment on what my son and I experienced during our ten day excursion in the Namaqua/Rictersveld biodiversity.
The trip started and ended in Pella via Vioolsdrift, Eksteenfontein, Alexanderbay (one route), Bakkrans caves (another route), Sendelingsdrift, Richtersveld transfrontier Park, Eksteenfontein, Vioolsdrift and Pella again.
We were warned about some rain the previous week and the condition of some off the roads by the locals, they were not exaggerating, we had to build some roads being washed away, some more than two meter vertical drop to the river bed, great fun to stop and take pictures of something not often seen. Where we couldn't fix we had to hike for kilometers to find a suitable crossing.
More of this in the days to come.

Really looking forward to your report...
And pics, we want pics!
Richtersveld is on my bucket list.

I feel a lot less wise at 45 than I did at 15.

Die trip was 'n great experience, never to be forgotten.

Looks to me like there was a little APARTHEID on this trip or someone was a Snorer/screamer ?

Here is some pictures, to many to post, taken between Potjiespram camping site in the Transfrontier Park and Vioolsdrift, via the park. Can anybody shed some light on the reason for the stacked rocks between Eksteenfontein and Vioolsdrift.
