I'm considering investing in a nice fully stocked tool box. I quite like Gedore and King Tony. Which would you recommend?

Cracked a Geodore no17 Socket once. They did not want to replace it with the so called limited lifetime warranty. King Tony on the other hand replaced my ratchet without blinking!

Kyk watter stel voel die lekkerste in jou hand. Werk van daar af.

Ouens lag vir my met my tjiep gereedskap, maar ek kan dit nie gebreek kry nie - en hulle skyt as ek eers knorrig raak met 'n gesukkel :lol:

Ek stem hulle hou lank genoeg, het n midas stel gekoop en my hux oor gebou met hulle en alles is nog 100% kry net nie die ratchet spanner nie (sal hom seke kry as ek weer goente plant waar die kids speel)

Hmmm, Gedore is gaining some ground. Wonder if it is just because it is better known?

For interest's sake, I saw a 60 pc Gedore set at Makro for R 4 999, and a similar 62 pc King Tony set at Midas for R 3 600. Same King Tony set at toolshop.co.za for R 3 250. If there is not much in it wrt quality, I think I might just go for the King Tony, fond though I am of Gedore!

Stahlwille is the one of the best money can buy, Gedore is good value for money, most of the others are made in China, Snap On is hopelesly over priced and their warantee means nothing, been there.
