Hmmm ..... my first instinct would be to pass, but ....
The price is right if you are looking for a project, however there are pitfalls to look out for. First verify the seller's credentials (the number plate can easily be read) and find out what you can about the vehicle's history. Service history and who did the motor conversion (you could still pick up some issues with that). Then I'm not sure what he means with "raised and shortened suspension" .... If it means that he has made a modification to use shorter leaf packs, beware that you will have an even stiffer ride. Articulation may also be negatively affected. To do such a modification one would have to relocate the spring hangers and the shackle mounts, who did the welding, is there a welding certificate. He says papers are missing but he can get a copy .... is the new motor on the papers or is there a clearance certificate. Mileage sounds a bit too low for that year model, but it's possible.
Don't buy it sight unseen, preferably take it through an AA check as well before committing.
The "integrated" front bumper looks crappy and the rear bumper even worse while the spare wheel carriers look like a dog's breakfast. I'd replace them both or at the very least modify / neaten up the front and remove the rear.
On the positive, the SFA is a real 'die-hard' and general repair / maintenance costs are low. It could be restored to become the awesome vehicle it was bred to be.

I have been in contact with the seller:
He flopped onto the vehicle side. There is damage to the left hand side: front fender, b pillar, load bin edge.
It has 32" tyres and black diamond suspension.
Apparently the motor runs well and gives 6.5 km per litre driving decently.
He used it for driving in 4x4 challenges. Which is how he flopped it.
I am giving the guy a boat and some cash for the hilux.
He will be driving it from despatch to PE to deliver it to me.

If he has the papers, why not
Is worth far more in spares as what you pay for it.
So even if the bakkie is vrot you can still get u money back if you sell it as spares.
If it is in good nick and you can get the papers it is a good buy
