Offroad trailer advice

Post by Eyeman »

I'm in the market for a basic offroad trailer with trailer tent. I have most of the equipment I need (note: not want) and don't need kitchen units etc. A light trailer with basic storage space for 2 biggies & 3 littlies is what I have in mind.
Any advice on what to consider or to avoid? 8 )

Hmmm .... can't help you on this one .... not into the trailer thing ..... just use my plain home built trailer (16" rims) if I need the extra space. Stick around, one or two of the guys will be able to be of more assistance.
When your road comes to an end ...... you need a HILUX!.

I am a Eco fan, but you just need a basic Trailer.
Eco selling the trailers basic also and than you can ad on.
The next one is a Venter Bush Baby. The problem is on this one, you still had to open the top lit.
I towing the Eco 3 for tha last 4 years now and love it. Mine is complete, but it is now very expensive and the basic one is for you where you can ad on yourself what you need.

I think the Bush Baby is what you should look at.

Hi,
We seem to be in the same cat - 2 large 3 small.

I own a 10 year old first generation Conqueror with about 15% of the availible extras at that time. The new trailers are nice but out of my budget.

You have the right idea to start with a basic trailer and do to it what you want.

Also look at normal trailers (no offroad label) from Engelbrecht and Leo that are built sturdy and allow you to modify to your needs.

Also look at normal
Quite right  I agree with that!

Venter's Botswans, standard if you can find a good second hand one is very reliable and strong!
