Hi All, me again, I'm very "not familiar" with GPS units at all, I just need to know what would the difference and limitations be between a Garmin 60csx and a Nuvi 200 or 205, I can get a 60csx 2nd hand for quite a decent price, but opposed to a nuvi 200 or something similiar for around R2000 new in the shop.

Thanks
Ismail

Basically, the 60CSx is far better for offroading, while the Nuvi series is ideal for city usage, but not of much value when offroading. I would suggest go for the 60CSx, more especially if you get it at a decent price.

Hi Eric

I bought the 60csx, problem is there was no maps in it only the standard or basic maps to ployt your waypoints and the mapping manager software, do I need to purchase the mapsource V1.5 and then T4A or can I just put T4A on it, I am not really interested in the mapsource V1.5 for the street maps tho.

Hi Ismail,

You could just purchase the latest T4A mapset on CD, about R750 or thereabouts, or also purchase the latest Garmap 2009 DVD for about R10.00, which includes Mapsource. You do not need to load the Garmap product, only Mapsource, in order to load the T4A maps.

Alternatively, I don't know whether T4A sells a SD card with T4A, might be worth looking in to.
