Hekpoort 4x4 Dag 10 & 11 October!

10 & 11 OKTOBER 2009

Soos elke jaar van tevore, hou Hekpoort Laerskool weer ‘n 4x4 wat die hele gesin betrek! Daar is iets vir oud en jonk! Die naweek van 10 en 11 Oktober 2009 moet dus oopgehou word vir ons 4x4! Saterdag 10 Oktober toets, bestuurders en hul 4x4 voertuie, hul bestuursvernuf op ons uiters uitdagende baan. Biertuin met “Big Screen”vir Curriebekerwedstryde, asook heerlike kos is beskikbaar. Veilige oornag-kampstaanplek met geriewe vir die wat by ons wil kamp is beskikbaar vir slegs R100 per staanplek vir maksimum 4 persone en R50 per persoon ekstra! Na 12 jaar van baie sukses kan u verseker wees van ‘n goed georganiseerde naweek vol pret en plesier!

Op Sondag 11 Oktober is daar weer ‘n spesiale roete vir die gesin wat deur die Magalies omgewing gaan! Halfpad deur die roete sal ‘n heerlike “brunch” bedien word waarvandaan ons weer verder sal ry!

KOSTES:

Saterdag:
Kompetisie: R250 inskrywingsgelde (Bestuurder en navigator-toegang ingesluit)
Toegang: Slegs R20 per persoon (Toeskouers)

Sondagroete:
R200 per voertuig (brunch vir 2 persone ingesluit)
R30 per persoon ekstra vir Brunch!

Hi Guys and Girls: as this event is quickly approaching us, I have thought it would be a nice opportunity to arrange a 'Meet and Greet'. Bring your Hilux early, load the family and come and enjoy a fun filled day. :!:

We will meet at Honeydew Toyota gazebo on the field, you can't miss it

For those who are unable to make it on Sat. come join us for breakfast Sunday morning on the mild 4x4 route, with beautiful views on top of Magaliesburg. Vehicles will depart from 07h00 in groups of 8, be sure to confirm.

Just confirmed..... we will be 4 vehicles......leaving the kids at home...so it is a outing for the woman as well....they will co drive....

Kan ek by enige iemand 'n lift kry vir Saterdag teen vergoeding? My vroumens werk 3 saterdae die maand sodat sy 22 tot 25 okt kan afkry vir ons PE naweek... ek en sy en dalk 'n tjomma gaan sondag die berg roete en breakfast doen, maar dis bietjie rof om alleen deur te ry vir die saterdag en dan weer deur te ry vir die sondag. Jy kan maar as hy die nuwe een is soos ek sien jy ry gaan jy skade optel jou approach is te laag en jou excaliburs trapies gaan nooit weer die selle wees nie jy het teminste 'n replacement bull bar (ARB, Iornman of Custom) en Rocksliders nodag dan sal jy ok wees. Ek het in die begin van die jaar met my D4D daar gery maar hy het baie mods op en ek het nogsteeds gesukkel omdat die bakkie so lank en groot is gelukag geen skade opgetel nie.

Saterdag ry ek met Claas my SFA :D

I'm new here, and after reading Pype's post, I think I'll just watch and take a few photos. I haven't got rocksliders yet, and mommy would be most unimpressed if her excaliburs came out looking like landmine survivors.

The Honeydew Toyota gazebo's are already up at Laerskool Hekpoort field.
Park as close to them if possible!

As per Pieter's email:

"Good news for Hiluxers, is that Honeydew
Toyota is sponsoring some nice big red Hilux flags for the event.
The first 20 Hiluxes that arrive, at the meeting point, will each receive a

Well, well, well, what a wonderful day we all had

The weather held out beautifully and there was a record crowd at the Laerskool Hekpoort 4x4 Day

Some nice older lux, see the landy had to be towed, out of its leaugue, nice to see landy on bridge and road, where the Hilux is in the mud and water

The two guy's, youngsters, had so much fun!!!! I don't think they got through any obsticals.....but however they tried!

Even the escape routes were a challenge for them

The 'breakfast run' up Magaliesberg was once again a popular event.

Even though the weather was not great (over-cast and windy) it turned out to be a lovely day later

We started off at Laerskool Hekpoort and drove approx. 20km to our destination, the Slag van Nooitgedacght, where a full breakfast awaited us!

Ja, I have to say I'm a coastal person, and I would really miss the sea. We don't exactly have the 'Highveld' down here but just a little ways inland and it's not too different. I will have to buy another home up that way with a Lux standing and waiting in the garage!

then I can just fly up for the occasional weekends.
