with ARB and Thomas you might just do that. But it depends on what you mean by breaking the bank (amount).lukestrugnell wrote:but wont break the bank

Re: Compressors
A cheap option is to use a old A/C compressor

Re: Compressors
ok so if i go the old a/c route how do I do it?
mount in engine bay and connect via a switch to battery and then get some long hose and make a connection to compressor? Is it that easy?

Re: Compressors
Definitionally not a cheap option. To buy an old pump, fit it, sort out the belts and pulleys, then add the plumbing is going to cost you more than R 799 that I paid for the twin cylinder T-MAX at 4x4 Megabucks :| :? ANd I hear that the guys have problems to keep these AC pumps lubricated so they do not seize up :?Cookie Monster wrote:A cheap option is to use a old A/C compressor

Re: Compressors
I sapose for most ppl it is expensive. How ever its not that difficult I will be doing something like that early next year so if you not in a big hurry you can see what I am going to do :D I have a few ideas the oil thing is not that bigger problem. one just need a little reserviour of compressor oil to feed the intake. But yes for a non techy person the bought option is far easier.
