For more info about a 2.4 Hilux Motor you can Google Search "22R Engine" Steve.
It was introduced in the SFA Hilux's as a more powerful power plant for the Raider as opposed to the slower but bulletproof good old 4Y 2.2 motor which yours and mine has.
Cassie has EFi'd his with amazing results but allas the parts to EFi a 22R are as common as Hen's Teeth; so many will only dream rather than follow.
Parts for EFi'ing a 4Y (like mine) are still pretty easy to get hold of and if your van is a daily runner it's worth the +/- R15K.
A good EFi Installation takes a 4Y where a standard 22R would love to go whilst still maintaining the good old "bullet proof and reliable as hell" inherent characteristics you love about your 4Y
Just a word of caution; there are many poorly installed EFi's on 4Y's knocking around in the Kaap, rather do a Project from scratch than take over someone else's Monkey.
