Hilux 4x4 Forum

Hey North-Westerners,

We're planning our very first official Klerksdorp GTG on Saturday, 4th July. The idea is to meet one another and put faces to names, and to discuss local venues for us to flex our Hilux's articulation slightly.

Sure Richard... that sad thing is that those fuel consumption stats aren't all that far off the 4Y's...

And you get a huge load more power for a bit more fuel consumption... I think the extra costs have more to do with the other stuff the breaks... like gearboxes... engine mounts... half shafts... prop shafts... etc...

Hopefully I'll be able to meet a few of the up-country guys on this years family visit trek to JHB... that would be great!

Andy that spirit is too expensive to waste... but your birthday warranted a half tot! Funny your bday was actually celebrated country wide....

Date has been changed to either the last weekend in July, or the first w/e in August. But with this cold weather, I'm also prepared to wait it out a bit...

I did go visit the suggested new restaurant tho', had a nice fillet steak as well, but the place was freezing as it is not really fully enclosed yet.

I was there Saturday evening a couple of weeks ago, nothing wrong with the steak! But it was COLD!! 3PM sounds good, that way we can leave before it gets dark (and cold!!).


Those of you who can make it, please RSVP either here or on the CF - or both. We would like to book no later than Friday morning, although there's always room for a couple of extra people!
