Low Range Feul Consumption

Post by Hansie1992 »

Morning guys

Can any one provide me an average fuel consumption for a D4-D 3.0 in Low range? Without load I get around 5-6km/L. When on the dunes I get an average of 2.5km/L. Is this normal?

You can drive in 2nd and 3rd low range the whole day long with less than a tank of fuel. If you drive 120 km/h in high range you can only drive for 5 hours on a tank. Below 60km/h time takes over, not km.
Very difficult to determine km/l at such low speeds.
