Fortuner 3.0 D4d Alternator

Hi guys, hope all are well. I have a Fortuner D4d 2008 3.0, and im runni g through alternators they last about 5 6 months and boom its gone the clutch pulley is just so tight cant spin no more? What am I doing wrong here? I mean cud it be the belt? Or what? Anybody have this issue b4?
