Hilux 4x4 Forum

Hi, I have recently bought a 16 plate Hilux Invincable 3L Automatic. It's my first Auto but I dont think it's doing what it should. It seems slow to change up, around 3000rpm. Worst thing is at higher speeds (60 or 70mph) its changing down with the slightest increase in throttle. Seems to very rarely be in top gear. Just doesn't seem right to me. Any ideas pls. Thanks Richard

I would first check the basics such as the oil level and possibly consider replacing the oil.
