Re: Berakah Trail 5-7 December
Just a quick update to the proposed weekend.
The costs involved is R 35 per person camping per night.
Children under 12 is R 15 per child.
The 4x4 Trail is R 200 per vehicle.
I have been in contact and space is a bit limited as there is allready another group camping at the one campsite. Thus would I advise you to let me know if you want to book for camping, as I have made a provisional booking for the weekend due to space limitations.

Jou geheue is maar sleg... daai was my skoonsuster (in Middelburg) se kinders se verjaarsdag party.
So all enoll het ek 4 skoonsusters

Cassie
Maar aangesien hierdie jaar nou nie so gereel was nie moet julle maar die Party by Berakah kom hou!

Re: Berakah Trail 5-7 December
Decisions, decisions, decisions....
Today I went to buy the steel for the burglar proofing for the windows for the new garage/workshop/store plus some shelving, R4000.00 worth. The plan was to do at least the burglar-proofing for the new garage this weekend so that the painters can do their thing next week and then we can also fit the glass to the windows. But then I heard that Steel prices will drop by 20% on Monday, so I cancelled the order, and will re-order next week. But... that throws my whole week next week out insofar as painting and glazing is concerned, because this can now be done only after I have finished with the burglar-proofing, which is now rescheduled for next weekend. But hey, that is Berakah...

Martin, ek dink nie jy gaan 'n probleem hê by Berakah nie. Vat net jou eie pull strap saam en daar sal verseker iemand wees om jou te help. Sekere mense is mos baie heilig op hulle recovery toerusting en net nou moet jy hulle tweede handse strap by hulle koop as jy nie een het nie

No excuses will b e accepted. I also have a lot of things I will put on hold for that weekend but I decided all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy, you need some rest some times too, the burglar bars are not going to run away.Family_BullDog wrote:Decisions, decisions, decisions....

Martin, its only the last part of the mountain where you need 4x4 with low range you can just catch a lift at that spot and pick up your van on the way back.
Alternately Cassie offered to borrow you Bloudraad for the weekend since he is whipped and can not make it, as long as you return her with a full tank.

the burglar bars are not going to run away.
Yes.... but that's not the problem! The problem lies that I can only make and fit these over a weekend and the painting & glazing cannot be done until I have done the burglar proofing, thus we waste a full week... :problem:
And then we have December closures everywhere too. So near, yet so far. Still have the ceiling to do, the lights & plugs to install, but overall progress so far is satisfactory.

Re: Berakah Trail 5-7 December
Bennie, the weekend after suits me perfectly, but I am still prepared to come through for the day on the 6th.... just pulling your leg a bit, although I would like to get this place finished.
I was thinking of coming through with Shorty, he should be able to tackle Berakah....
Nope.... just pulling your leg again... I will actually be coming through with White Fang....
(Too scared to bring Bulldog in case you get the feeling that he needs to go to Pretoria again for another three months... )
Or am I pulling your leg again....

Re: Berakah Trail 5-7 December
Hannes jy is welkom om saam te kom.
Martin, it looks like you are the only 4x2 but like Cassie said, you only need it at the last bit where you can ride with somebody and leave the KZ-TE parked next to the trail.
So far the confirmed list for this weekend trail is;
BenHur
JohanM
Fanie ( Fortuner)
Who else want to join, so that we can confirm the list by end of Today to confirm the booking....

You need low range on the whole trail, unless you take a spare clutch with.

Re: Berakah Trail 5-7 Dec - Moved to 13 Dec 08
Ok, so we have decided to move the weekend forward due to work commitments and the silly season being upon us.
I have checked today with Berakah, that there is space to camp this weekend and also the costs stays the same as previous mentioned.
Trail is R 200-00 per vehicle
Camping is R 35 per person per night camping
Children under 12 is R 15 per child camping per night.
So the confirmed list thusfar is:
Benhur
JohanM.
