2011 Vigo Speed control

Good day gents.

I have a 2011 Vigo. About 3 years ago I had the slip ring replaced when there was a bulletin sent our by Toyota. Last couple of month my speed control stopped working. Then I realised it only comes on when the sterring wheel is turned about a quarter turn either way from straight wheels. But when the wheels are straight nothing happens when I press the button.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Sound like the spiral cable might be the problem. Be prepared for the cost of this piece of plastic (and some wires)

Mine was replaced last week. Standard cost is R7700.
Take back to Toyota and ask if they will consider goodwill claim/contribution as it was done previously.

My hooter en speedo cruise wasnt working but the dealer told me your airbag works off the same cable so there is always the chance that your airbag will also not deploy in an accident
