Hi and welcome Veeryam.

This is not a problem that I have come across before, so not sure I can be of much help.

I've known it to happen with the normal gear lever and usually it's just the nylon bush at the end of the lever that has worn or disintegrated or alternatively its the bush in the turret for the pin that holds the lever. The 4WD lever is used a lot less so those bushes rarely give problems, however, that is where I would start looking for the problem. If that's all OK then you might have to remove the transfer box and check what's going on in there. Remember that the transfer box has it's own oil which would have to be drained before removal. In fact you should check that it is correctly filled before removing it .... just maybe that could be the problem.

Good luck, hope it's easily sorted and not something serious. :winkx:
