2003 Hilux KZTE DC. Hi. Where can I get a tension bar that goes under the tonneau cover to keep it taut?

Make one, using 8mm round bar.

Should be semi spring steel. You might get lucky and find a steel supplier that has a short piece, otherwise go to your local building supply store and buy an 8mm drain cleaning rod .... they're 2m long which is more than enough. Cheaper than buying a length of 8mm spring steel rod. Cut off the ends and remove the collets, heat up one end and put an 85° bend (not quite 90°) 25mm from the end. Stick the bent end into the collar on one side of the bin and then bow the rod so that you have a bow about 100mm higher in the middle than the height of the bin. Mark the collar position, add on another 25mm and cut it off there. Heat that end and bend another 85° from the marked collar position. Just make sure that your bend is on the same plane as the one on the other side .... using a bench vice and hammer helps to make bending and lining up easier.
