Electric Turbo/Supercharger

Post by pampoen »

Came across the most amazing electric supercharger that actually works. Problem is its quite expensive. Makes for an interesting read. Would love to strap this thing to a 4y or a 7mge and see the results.

Electric supercharger were developed many years ago. For some reason they were not so popular due to the effectiveness / reliability.

Superchargers are the number 1 choice for drag racers because it makes power from idle with no lag. However because it is belt driven it uses quiet a large percentage of engine power to make more power thus it was said (by old school engineers) a minimum of 1 bar pressure for a supercharge was justified to be effective.

The idea of the electric supercharge was to eliminate power loss via the belt drive.
Still sceptical on it as in so many years they didn’t seem to master it for some reason.
