Tablet/Android radio for my Hilux

I bit the bullet on Friday and asked my good friend Charles Muller from Caledon to install one of these bad boys into my Hilux. It is an awesome upgrade. Now I also have a tablet on the dash like the new Revo's except it looks MUCH better and I didnt have to trade in my Hilux..
It comes with a reverse camera, full on navigation package, wi-fi connectivity and full Android capability. I can download apps like Fuelio and other driving aids from the App Store. It also comes with a TPMS, all I need to get is the sensors that fit inside/on the wheels. For now I dont even know a 100th of all the capabilities, but I am already blown away.
Sound quality also is miles better than the old standard radio.

Bloody smart! Doesn't look like after market at all.
Also like the choice of music.

Indeed... IMHO... fitment looks better than the Revo infotainment system. That just looks slapped on as an afterthought.
If you look at this installation, fits neatly into the mouldings, as if it was purpose built to be there.

Next I will buy the newest T4A Android app and there I have a full on 7" off-road GPS .. no more hiding the GPS when we stop in strange places..

When I stop in my garage the radio automatically link up with my fibre wi-fi and I can download music, apps, movies, files or whatever I want onto the internal storage.. If needs be.. or even upload car/trip related data to my laptop..
No more need for loose DVD/CD's lying in the car getting damaged.. They can now be stored away in a box on an attic somewhere..
The wonders of modern technology...

Charles wat dit ingesit het is n verspreider vir Planet World . Dis blykbaar n Caska produk.
Die outjie het net soveel settings en goed as jou nuutste Android slimfoon... Kan selfs pizzas bestel met hom solank ek vir hom n internet konneksie gee.. en daarvoor vat ek my foon, maak hom n wi-fi hotspot en link op.. of parkeer langs die naaste Wimpy en piggy-back op hulle wifi konneksie.. The possibilities are endless..

on the question of security... does this , and other built in infotainment systems not attract the attention of the skelms more?
This is like leaving you tablet on the dashboard... and especially if it an aftermarket Andriod... it just like any other tab that can be resold to be used as a mobile device?
