Re: Bashplate
I recently repainted mine.
made it black again. used a rubber bakkie lining paint. its like rubber. coated it with a roller. took a few days for each coat to dry but it was like 8 degrees outside !
from my research powdercoating is a problem
you can make it any colour you want but I wont powdercoat it.
its a bashplate after all.
when you bash it with powdercoat then its too difficult to touch up again.
with paint you can easily just fix where the paint has come off instead of having to re powdercoat the whole thing again

Re: Bashplate
An etch primer and QD enamel applied with a sponge roller should do the trick. Or perhaps hammerite?

Re: Bashplate
Thanks for the insights, but i found a guy doing aluminuim plates for a decent price, so no more steel that needs to be painted.
I still think a coloured plate will look awesome; but well leave that for another day
