I think I read somewhere that the reflective strips on front and rear bumpers now has to run the full width of the vehicle. Is this true? Thanks guys.

Nope. I have been in and out of Zimbabwe five times this year. Last a week ago. Tape should be honey comb type. I have it the size of a cigarette box.

Plumtree is a treat compared to Beitbridge. Two white reflective squares in front below head lights and two red at the back, two fluorescent vests, a triangle and a fire extinguisher and you are good to go

Rigger is right. I have used both but plumtree is much easier and less corrupt. You can exit at beitbridge, very easy.

My white tape in front and red at back is on each corner of vehicle, so it can be seen from the sides as well as back and front. Had no hassels from the authorities.
Went in at Kasane to see the falls, then into Hwange up to Matusadone to Kariba via the Power lines road, then to Chitaki Springs and Mana Pools, then down to Matopos and came out Plumtree.

Can someone post pics of the tape on the vehicle as an example?

Brian, make sure you vehicles' registration plate lights are working. No problem if you don't have lights, but if they're there, they must work - else $15.
